A man has sparked widespread reactions online after revealing that he may lose several valuable properties because they were registered in his late mother's name rather than his own.
According to the man, he deliberately purchased the properties under his mother's name to keep them hidden from his wife. He explained that he feared a future divorce could expose his assets, so he believed registering everything in his mother's name would protect his wealth.
The man claimed he never informed his siblings about the arrangement and also made his wife believe he had very little money. As a result, the couple reportedly shared household expenses equally throughout their marriage.
He disclosed that the assets include four houses, five plots of land, two vehicles, a primary and secondary school bearing his mother's initials, as well as the family home where he currently lives.
Following his mother's death, the situation reportedly changed dramatically.

Man Sparks Debate After Wife Chooses UK Move Instead of Caring for His Mother
According to him, his siblings now insist that all the properties legally belong to their late mother and should be shared equally among her children as part of her estate.
The man said he has tried explaining that he personally paid for all the properties, but his siblings allegedly rejected his claim and insisted the assets remain part of their mother's inheritance.
Beyond the legal dispute, he admitted he now faces another difficult challenge—telling his wife the truth about his finances.
He expressed fears that revealing he secretly owned numerous properties while allowing their marriage to operate on a 50-50 financial arrangement could permanently damage their relationship and affect his children's trust in him.
Seeking legal guidance, the man appealed to lawyers for advice on whether he has any legal basis to reclaim the properties from his siblings.
