Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi has reserved ruling on the bail application filed by popular social media influencer and relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, over a N36 million fraud charge brought against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The ruling, which was expected on June 5 following arguments from both the prosecution and defence, has been deferred to Tuesday, June 9, 2026, leaving the high-profile defendant in a state of legal suspense as the case continues to attract significant public attention.

Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge filed by the EFCC's Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

The commission alleges that she obtained the sum of N36 million from a petitioner under the false pretence of leasing a property in the Lekki area of Lagos — a claim that, if proven, carries serious consequences under Nigerian law.

The influencer was first arraigned on May 15, 2026, marking her formal entry into the criminal justice process on the charges.

The matter was subsequently adjourned to June 5 specifically for the hearing of her bail application, a date that brought both legal teams before Justice Dipeolu to make their respective arguments.

After fully hearing from the prosecution and the defence, the judge declined to deliver an immediate decision and instead reserved the ruling for the following Tuesday.

The EFCC's case against Blessing CEO has drawn widespread reaction across Nigerian social media, where she commands a large and loyal following built on her candid commentary on relationships and personal accountability.

Her supporters have rallied around her since the arraignment, while others have pointed to the seriousness of the allegations as a reminder that public influence offers no immunity from the law.

With the bail ruling now set for June 9, all eyes will be on Justice Dipeolu's decision — which will determine whether Blessing CEO remains in custody or is granted freedom ahead of the substantive trial.

The outcome of the Blessing CEO bail application over the N36M fraud charge is expected to set the tone for how aggressively the EFCC pursues the matter in the weeks ahead.
