Jowizaza’s Father Regains Freedom After Abduction in Anambra

Jowizaza’s father has been released and safely returned following his abduction by armed criminals in Ifite-Awka, Anambra State.
The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the release of Chief J. J. Ezeokafor, a businessman and father of socialite Jowizaza, alongside a Rev. Sister who was also abducted in the incident.
Ezeokafor was reportedly abducted in the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, after leaving his residence for a prayer ground in Awka.
In a statement, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that the victims had regained their freedom.
Ikenga said the command was taking necessary steps to establish the circumstances surrounding their release and obtain information that could assist investigators in identifying and apprehending those responsible for the abduction.
The Police spokesperson said the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, welcomed the safe return of the victims and directed security operatives to intensify intelligence-led operations and the search for the perpetrators.
The ongoing operation involves the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agunechemba Security Operatives and other relevant security agencies.
Authorities are expected to continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the abduction and release of the victims.
The safe return of Jowizaza’s father comes as security agencies intensify efforts to identify those behind the incident and prevent similar attacks in Anambra State.
