Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a package worth an initial £100 million guaranteed, with additional add-ons taking the total potential fee to €140 million if all performance-related clauses are met.

The agreement has been confirmed to be at an advanced stage, with clubs expected to exchange all relevant documents within the next 24 hours and the French winger set to put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Anfield this weekend.

The deal fills the significant void left by Mohamed Salah, whose decision to leave Liverpool a year ahead of schedule was communicated by the Egyptian in March, and which set the club on a patient search for a worthy successor to one of the most productive wingers in Premier League history.

The path to securing Barcola’s signature was not straightforward. PSG had publicly insisted he was untouchable during the early stages of transfer speculation, and Arsenal were also credited with genuine interest in the winger.

Barcola, however, made clear through his representatives that his preference was Liverpool — a position that aligned with manager Andoni Iraola’s specific desire for wingers capable of performing on both flanks.

The teenager, who is currently adapting to playing on the right as well as his preferred left side, was also considered by Liverpool during the 2025 window but that approach was shelved to avoid blocking the development pathway of Rio Ngumoha.

A year later, with that concern resolved and the Salah gap demanding to be filled, Liverpool returned with a full and decisive offer.

Barcola’s profile represents one of the most complete attacking packages available in European football at his age.

He first broke through at Lyon, making 47 appearances for his boyhood club before earning a €45 million move to PSG in 2023.

In three seasons at the Parc des Princes, he made 152 appearances, scored 39 goals, and added 37 assists — a combined contribution that averages one direct goal involvement every 118 minutes across all competitions.

Tall and nimble, with devastating pace and dazzling close control, Barcola provides Liverpool with a direct replacement for Luis Diaz on the left flank while also possessing the versatility Iraola requires.
