Bayern Munich have signed Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, with the Morocco international completing a long-term move to the Bundesliga champions on a contract that runs until 2031.
The German club confirmed the signing on Wednesday, while reports indicate the transfer is worth €50 million (approximately $57 million), although Bayern Munich did not officially disclose the fee.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder arrives after an outstanding season with PSV Eindhoven and an impressive FIFA World Cup campaign with Morocco, further strengthening Bayern's already formidable attacking options.
Saibari joins a squad that includes Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, Jamal Musiala, Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry, giving new depth to Bayern's forward line ahead of the new season.
Speaking after completing the transfer, Ismael Saibari described the move as a dream come true.
"As a child, you dream of signing a contract with a club like Bayern. Everybody knows it's one of the world's biggest clubs. Bayern compete for the biggest titles like the Champions League every year, and I want to win as many trophies as possible here," he said.
The Moroccan international has been one of the standout performers at the ongoing FIFA World Cup, helping Morocco qualify for the round of 16 with a series of impressive displays.
Saibari scored in all three of Morocco's group-stage matches before calmly converting the decisive penalty in the Atlas Lions' dramatic shootout victory over the Netherlands in the Round of 32.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl welcomed the midfielder to the club, describing him as one of the tournament's most exciting players.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of Ismael Saibari, one of the most exciting players at the World Cup," Eberl said.
The transfer had been widely anticipated after reports suggested Saibari temporarily left Morocco's training camp in New Jersey earlier in the tournament to complete his medical ahead of the move.
Born in Spain, Saibari moved to Belgium at a young age before choosing to represent Morocco at international level. He made his senior debut for the national team in 2023 and has since established himself as one of the country's key midfielders.
Bayern Munich head into the new campaign after an exceptional 2025/26 season, during which they won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double while setting a new league record for the highest number of goals scored in a single Bundesliga season.
Despite their domestic success, the Bavarian giants narrowly missed out on UEFA Champions League glory after suffering a 6-5 aggregate defeat to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.
