Afrobeats star Davido made a powerful statement at the FIFA World Cup countdown concert as he honored victims of the recent school abductions in Oyo State.

The singer used his stage appearance to draw global attention to the security crisis in Nigeria, calling for urgent action to secure the release of kidnapped pupils and teachers in the Oriire Local Government Area.

The singer used the global stage to spotlight the ongoing security challenges in Nigeria, especially the kidnapping of pupils and teachers in the Oriire Local Government Area.

His performance drew attention not only for entertainment but also for its emotional and political message.

Davido appeared in a customised outfit designed to reflect the tragedy.

His black leather jacket featured green circular buttons, each inscribed with the names of abducted students and teachers.

Names of those still in captivity were written in white, while victims who lost their lives were marked in red, highlighting the severity of the crisis.

He also wore a white shirt with “NIGERIA” boldly printed across the front, while the back of his jacket carried the message “BRING THEM HOME,” reinforcing his call for urgent rescue efforts.

Before taking the stage, Davido expressed deep concern over the situation, praying for affected families and urging both state and federal authorities to act swiftly.

He emphasized the importance of unity and compassion during a time of national distress.
