Bam Bam Speaks Out After Phone Theft at Alexx Ekubo’s Service of Songs

Reality TV star and actress Bam Bam has broken her silence after her phone was reportedly stolen during the service of songs held in honor of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.

The actress described the incident as heartbreaking, especially given the solemn nature of the event where family, friends, and colleagues had gathered to mourn.

In a statement, Bam Bam clarified that a viral video showing a woman removing a phone from her bag had been misunderstood. According to her, the woman seen in the footage was her personal assistant, not a suspect as some social media users had speculated.

The actress explained that she only realized her phone was missing after getting into her car following the event. She noted that several people approached her for photographs and selfies during the gathering, which made it difficult to determine exactly when the device disappeared.

Bam Bam revealed that her immediate concern was not the phone itself but the valuable memories and information stored on it, including personal contacts, photos, and videos that had not been backed up to cloud storage.

She also expressed sadness over the fact that a service of songs—a gathering meant to honor and celebrate a deceased person’s life—could become the scene of theft. According to her, she was not the only victim, as several other attendees reportedly lost their phones during the event.

The actress questioned what could drive individuals to engage in criminal behavior at such a solemn occasion, describing the situation as deeply unfortunate. The incident has continued to spark reactions online, with many calling for improved security measures at large public and celebrity events.
