Barcelona extended their flawless start to the La Liga campaign as Lamine Yamal scores twice Levante thriller at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium, securing an action-packed 4-2 victory on Sunday. 

Hansi Flick’s side restored their three-point cushion over fierce rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table after Los Blancos had temporarily closed the gap by defeating Rayo Vallecano a day earlier. 

The Catalans wasted no time asserting dominance on foreign soil, taking the lead just five minutes into the match when 19-year-old Xavi Espart—deployed at left-back by Flick—slotted home his first senior goal for the club via a slight deflection following a fluid team build-up through the center of Levante's defense.

Levante responded spiritedly after the early setback, testing Barcelona's backline and forcing goalkeeper Joan Garcia into crucial saves from Roger Brugue while Petar Ratkov spurned another glorious opportunity. 

However, Barca punished the home side's inefficiency in the 19th minute when Raphinha rounded goalkeeper Mathew Ryan before unselfishly squaring the ball for Yamal to smash into an unmonitored net.

Despite holding a 100 percent win record across their opening five league fixtures, Barcelona’s defensive frailties surfaced during the closing stages as a late lapse in concentration allowed Ivan Romero and Roger Brugue to score in quick succession, dragging Levante back into contention. 

The tension was finally erased deep into stoppage time when substitute Karim Adeyemi produced a breathtaking solo run on the counter-attack, sprinting past the defense before beating Ryan to seal all three points. 

Speaking after the final whistle, Flick acknowledged the defensive struggles while praising his squad's resilience, echoing defender Eric Garcia’s warning that giving opponents breathing room nearly proved costly despite Barcelona maintaining their perfect start to the season.
