Igho ‘Tiny’ Ubiribo, the British-Nigerian influencer and friend of Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was previously declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network.
The NDLEA declared Ubiribo and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, wanted in April 2023 alongside Port Harcourt-based prophetess Faith Ugochi.
The agency alleged that the individuals were connected to an international drug trafficking syndicate operating from Los Angeles, United States.
According to the NDLEA, the investigation followed the seizure of 32.70 kilogrammes of “Loud,” a strong variant of cannabis, at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company import shed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos in November 2022.
The anti-drug agency alleged that Ubiribo and his wife were among the leaders of the syndicate and that teenage girls had been recruited as sales representatives.

The NDLEA also said several other suspects had been arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
The agency said invitations had been sent to Ubiribo and his wife to assist with its investigation. It later obtained a Federal High Court order declaring the couple wanted after, according to the agency, they failed to make themselves available for questioning.
Ubiribo remained known publicly for his extravagant lifestyle and social media displays of wealth. He was also known to be close to Davido, who paid tribute to him following his death.
Ubiribo died in March 2026 while in Thailand. Recent reports on a UK coroner’s inquest said he died from a pulmonary embolism linked to a penile filler procedure he underwent in Bangkok.
According to the findings reported from the inquest, Ubiribo underwent an injection involving about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.

He later developed serious symptoms and was taken to a hospital in Bangkok, where attempts to save his life were unsuccessful.
A postmortem examination reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid used in the procedure, supporting the conclusion that the substance contributed to the pulmonary embolism.
The death brought renewed attention to Ubiribo’s unresolved NDLEA case. The allegations made against him by the agency date back to 2023, and they should be understood as allegations rather than a criminal conviction.
Davido had previously described Ubiribo in an emotional tribute as a close and trusted ally, remembering him for his energy, courage and resilience.
The circumstances surrounding Ubiribo’s death and the history of the NDLEA investigation have since drawn renewed public attention to the late influencer’s life and controversies.
