Nigerian US Soldier Begs Trump to Reunite Her With Daughter

A Nigerian woman serving in the United States Army has broken down in tears in a viral video appeal directed at President Donald Trump, asking him to intervene and allow her critically ill 10-year-old daughter to join her in the United States after a decade of separation caused by the ongoing visa process. 

The plea was made by a woman who identified herself as Uzumaka, who said her daughter had completed all the required steps in the US immigration process but remained stranded in Nigeria due to current visa restrictions that have left a sick child separated from her mother despite the mother’s active military service to the American nation.

Uzumaka said the situation had crossed from painful to urgent because her daughter was now critically ill and in need of medical care that she feared would be difficult to access in Nigeria. 

She said she had documentary evidence to support the medical claim, including hospital reports, and was not asking for the immigration process to be bypassed but for a single humanitarian exception to be made in recognition of both her daughter’s condition and her own decade of loyalty to the United States military. 

She disclosed that she had already escalated through her chain of command and reached out to Senator Amy Klobuchar, only to be told that the visa process was proceeding as planned — an answer she described as insufficient given the medical emergency now facing her child.

Her cry quickly spread across social media platforms, with Uzumaka herself urging viewers to share it widely after her attempts to reach major news organisations had not yet produced a response. 

The emotional weight of the appeal — a uniformed service member in tears, pleading for her sick child — struck a chord with thousands of people online who amplified it across multiple platforms within hours of its first circulation. 

Uzumaka framed her request in the simplest and most human terms available: “This is just a mother fighting for her daughter to live and survive.” The line distilled ten years of separation, an active military career given to a country that had not yet reunited her with her child, and the specific terror of watching illness worsen from across an ocean.

Neither the US Army nor the White House had issued any public comment on the appeal at the time of this report, and no official response from President Trump had been shared publicly.
