Speaking during an emotional Instagram Live session, the singer said any pastor who refuses to speak out against insecurity and kidnappings has become part of the system enabling the crisis.
According to Spyro, Nigerians are now afraid to travel because of increasing reports of kidnappings and violent attacks across different parts of the country.
The singer questioned how citizens are expected to move freely when many major roads and routes have become associated with fear and insecurity.
Spyro also revealed that disturbing videos involving abducted children and victims of violence have affected him emotionally, adding that he sometimes struggles to sleep after watching such content online.
He argued that influential pastors are leaders in society and should not limit themselves to preaching alone during periods of national crisis.
According to the singer, church leaders should use their platforms and influence to speak against insecurity and demand action from authorities.
Spyro explained that although he often defends the church publicly, he believes this is a moment when hard truths need to be spoken openly.
He also criticised celebrities and influential figures who choose silence despite the suffering many Nigerians currently face daily.
The singer further stated that if relatives of prominent pastors were victims of kidnapping or violent attacks, there would likely be stronger reactions and mobilisation from religious institutions.
He questioned why the same urgency and public concern are not consistently shown for ordinary Nigerians currently living in fear.
