Inter Milan have been crowned Coppa Italia champions after a convincing 2-0 victory over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico secured the club’s 10th Italian cup title.
The Inter Milan Coppa Italia success also completed a domestic double for the Nerazzurri after already winning the Serie A title earlier in the season.
Coming into the final, Inter already held a psychological advantage after defeating Lazio 3-0 at the same venue just days earlier, and Cristian Chivu’s side once again showed their superiority from the opening stages.
Inter Milan dominated possession early in the match and deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute. Federico Dimarco delivered a dangerous corner that deflected off Marcus Thuram before striking Adam Marusic and finding the back of the net.

Lazio attempted to respond in front of their home supporters but struggled to break through Inter’s aggressive pressing system and disciplined midfield structure.
The Nerazzurri doubled their lead after another defensive mistake from Lazio. Denzel Dumfries won possession on the right flank before calmly setting up Lautaro Martínez, who tapped into an empty net to make it 2-0.
Lazio improved slightly after halftime and created a few opportunities, including a close effort from Tijjani Noslin, but Inter goalkeeper Josep Martínez remained composed whenever called into action.
Inter Milan also threatened repeatedly on the counterattack, with Dimarco and Piotr Zieliński both coming close to extending the lead further.
The Inter Milan Coppa Italia victory makes the club the first Italian side since Juventus in the 2017/18 season to win both Serie A and the Coppa Italia in the same campaign.
Cristian Chivu’s impressive first season in charge has now delivered two major domestic trophies, while Lazio must regroup quickly after missing out on European qualification opportunities.
