Herbert Wigwe London properties
Late Nigerian banking executive Herbert Wigwe has been linked to ownership of 106 properties in London, according to a new investigative report.
The Herbert Wigwe London properties revelation comes from findings published by The Londoner, which detailed hidden ownership of thousands of high-value properties across the UK capital.
The report, titled “Revealed: The Billionaires Who Really Own London,” uncovered the true owners behind approximately 32,000 properties in London.
It cited data from tax expert Dan Neidle and Tax Policy Associates, identifying Wigwe among global billionaires and entities holding prime real estate.
According to the findings, Wigwe ranked seventh among major foreign property owners, with 106 properties tied to his name.
The Herbert Wigwe London properties are reportedly located in some of the city’s most prestigious areas, including Oxford Street.
The report also revealed that many high-value properties in London are registered through offshore entities, particularly in St Helier, Jersey — widely known as a tax haven.
The identities of these property owners became public following a UK government policy requiring overseas entities to disclose their real ownership of UK real estate.
This transparency initiative has exposed how foreign investors, corporations, and wealthy individuals control significant portions of London’s property market.
Before his death in a helicopter crash in the United States on February 9, 2024, Herbert Wigwe served as Group CEO of Access Holdings Plc.
The Herbert Wigwe London properties report adds another dimension to his legacy as one of Nigeria’s most influential banking figures and global investors.
