Rosy Meurer Denies Marriage Rumours and Responds to Claims About Tonto Dikeh

Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has publicly addressed ongoing rumours surrounding her marriage to businessman Olakunle Churchill, firmly denying claims that she unfollowed him on Instagram or played a role in his past relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh.



Taking to Instagram, Rosy dismissed reports suggesting there is trouble in her marriage. She described the claim that she unfollowed her husband on social media as false, stating that she has been following him since 2017 and has no reason to change that. 

According to the actress, she is happy in her marriage and is being treated well. She questioned the timing of the rumours, especially as they surfaced while her husband was celebrating a reunion with his son from his previous marriage. 

Rosy revealed that she is currently in Cancun, Mexico, celebrating her birthday, while Churchill remained in Lagos to mark his son’s birthday. She explained that she intentionally gave him space to bond with his child, adding that she is pleased his children can experience quality time with their father. 

Responding to “Snatching” Allegations

Beyond the unfollowing rumours, Rosy also addressed long-standing claims that she “snatched” Churchill from Tonto Dikeh. 

She refuted the narrative that she was ever friends — or “best friends” — with Tonto before marrying Churchill. According to Rosy, she has never met Tonto in person, does not have her phone number, and was never introduced to Churchill by her. 

“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of best friend. I have never met her, I have never seen her,” she stated, challenging anyone with evidence to present proof. 

Rosy emphasized that she met her husband separately and had no connection to his previous marriage. She described the viral claims as a false narrative that has been repeatedly circulated online. 

“It’s Time I Control My Own Narrative”

Expressing frustration over the persistent speculation, Rosy declared that she would no longer allow others to shape her story. 

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! It’s time I control my own narrative. It’s my life, my story and no one but me is allowed to tell it!!” she wrote. 

Her statement appears aimed at putting an end to recurring online debates about her marriage and past controversies.
