Tottenham Hotspur's European campaign is done after Rennes won 3-0 in their last Europa Conference League group match on Monday, according to UEFA.
Due to a slew of Covid-19 instances in the team, Spurs were unable to play on December 9.
As a result, they finish third in their group, behind group winners Rennes, who advanced through to the last 16, and Vitesse, who will now play Rapid Vienna in a knockout play-off.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte said on the eve of the game that eight of his players and five members of his staff had tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the game to be called off.
Spurs have been one of the most hit English clubs by Covid-19's revival, owing to the Omicron variety, and have had to postpone league games against Brighton and Leicester.
But in a Statement by Uefa, "The Uefa Appeals Body took the following decision: to declare the 2021/22 UEFA Europa Conference League group stage match between Tottenham Hotspur FC and Stade Rennais FC, that was initially scheduled to be played on 9 December 2021, as forfeited by Tottenham Hotspur FC, who is therefore deemed to have lost the match 0-3," the UEFA statement reads.
