Following his dismissal by the Nigeria Football Federation on December 10,
ex-coach Gernot Rohr said that several players wanted to leave the national
team.
The 68-year-old coach said that his contract had been breached after it was
terminated, and that he was waiting not only for his unpaid salary, but also
for his salaries until the contract's end.
After five years, four months, and ten days in command of the Eagles, the NFF
fired Rohr two days later.
