In response for their actions to place Nigeria on the red list, the Federal Government plans to restrict flights from the United Kingdom, Canada, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia.
In a leaked recording, Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika stated this. The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 will declare the ban on the three countries on Monday or Tuesday.
The Federal Government has frequently fought the UK, Canada, and Saudi Arabian bans on Nigeria.
Sirika was explaining why the Federal Government restricted Emirates Airlines daily flights into Nigeria to only one weekly flight in the leaked tape.
He claimed that countries that put Nigeria on the "red list" would face a similar fate.
Their airlines will, of course, be blacklisted once they are placed on the red list, which implies they will be banned. Canada is no exception.
