Kalu described the events leading up to his murder as "wicked, reprehensible, and highly condemnable" in a statement released in Abuja on Monday.
Former Governor of Abia praised the Lagos State Government for closing the school to conduct a complete inquiry into the occurrence.
While commiserating with the Oromoni family, Kalu prayed to God for eternal rest for the deceased.
However, he asked the government, school officials, and education partners to develop methods to combat cultism and social vices in schools.
"I was shocked to learn of the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni (Jnr) of Dowen College in Lagos, who had allegedly been tormented and abused by his classmates.
"The government must conduct a thorough investigation into the tragic incident in order to bring the offenders to justice and prevent a repeat."
"I am also profoundly disturbed by secondary school pupils' embrace of cultism and other social vices.
"Unruly behavior in our schools, neighborhoods, and society as a whole must not be tolerated." To ensure adequate counseling of children, wards, and loved ones, all hands must be on deck.
"Biological and foster parents and guardians must sensitize students in their prime on the need of good moral behaviour," Orji stated.
The former governor prayed to God for the strength to face the loss of the deceased's parents.
