Uduak, 20, is on trial with his father, Frank Akpan, and older sister, Anwan Akpan, for allegedly rapping and murdering the victim under the guise of promising her a job.
Umoh, a resident of Lekki in Lagos State, told the court that the late Umoren had told her on April 29 that she was heading for a job interview in the Uruan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom, but that she did not have transportation fare.
According to the witness, she sent N2,000 to her bank account in order to pay for her transportation.
She went on to say that before she left Uyo for Uruan, she ordered Umoren to send the phone number of the person she was seeing and to set the position on her phone's google map, which she did.
After a while, Umoh said, Umoren informed her that she had arrived at the job interview location in Uruan and met the person who had invited her.
The witness stated she was taken aback when Umoren sent her a voice note on Whatsapp in which she was shouting, and that she then dialed her phone number only to hear more screaming before the connection abruptly terminated.
"After continuously contacting the phone and receiving no response, I posted posts on social media tagging the face of Uduak Akpan, the accused, whose photo was obtained from his Facebook page," she claimed.
According to the witness, Miriam Akpan remarked on the Facebook post that she knew Uduak and that she had been a victim of his phony job interview in Uruan, where he sexually abused her, took her nude photos, and seized her phone with the help of his sister.
Miss Ifiok Umoren, the fourth prosecution witness and deceased's elder sister, told the court that she had reported her younger sister missing to the Uruan police, who told her to wait 48 hours.
She claimed that when the 48-hour period had expired, she went to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command's Anti-Kidnapping Unit and was told that Uduak had confessed to killing Iniubong Umoren and burying her in a shallow grave.
