Gunmen invade UNIABUJA staff quarters, abduct professor, children, others

Gunmen stormed the staff quarters of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) on Tuesday morning and kidnapped Obansa Joseph, an economics professor, two of his children, and others.

As of the time of filing this report, the names of the professor's two children had not been confirmed. 

Habib Yakoob, a university spokesman, confirmed the news, estimating the number of victims to be around six. 

He went on to say that security operatives had been dispatched to ensure their safety. The FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, had yet to respond to inquiries about the attack as of the time of filing this report.
