Hon Abok Ayuba Nuhu, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, has been impeached.
The impeached speaker was replaced by Sanda Yakubu, a member of the state's Pingana constituency in the Bassa Local Government Area.
In plenary on Thursday, 16 of the assembly's 24 members voted in favor of impeachment.
