In Abia state, seven family members died after eating suya

 

In Umueze Umuakanu Umuahia North LGA, Abia State, seven members of a household perished after eating Suya with juice.

According to ABN TV, the Suya was purchased by the father, Mr. Jessey. To consume the Suya, his family members, including extended family members who were visiting, joined him.

After consuming the Suya, they were supposed to start vomiting.

Seven members of the family died, but the wife, Mrs. Ogba Jessey, and the boy survived. Mrs. Ogba Jessey, who is still unaware that her family members have died, is being treated at the Federal Medical Centre in Umuahia with her son. 

The bodies of the deceased members of the family have been taken to the mortuary.
