The purpose is to evacuate students of Abia origin who are currently stranded as a result of the recent violence and subsequent closure of the institution.
Recall that, the university had suspended semester examinations following the killing of 27 Muslim travellers on Rukuba Road on Saturday morning.
And the state government had imposed the curfew on Jos North LGA over the killings.
But in press released by John Okiyi Kalu, states Commissioner for Information, the contingent from Abia which includes security personnel are expected to ensure the safe return of the over 200 students of Abia origin back to the state capital, Umuahia, where the evacuees will be welcomed by the Governor, the statement reads.
