The ongoing dispensing of free cooking gas to the people of Abia State by Second Coming Gas station, Umuahia, has been suspended by the state government.
The Suspension came in a press release by the state's Honorable Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu said is to avert possible crowd control challenges.
Recall that Dr. Basil Ogbuanu,the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Second Coming Nigeria Limited, Umuahia, on Friday 10th April 2020 Donated 35,000 Litres Of Cooking Gas in support of State Government in fight against Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
The press reads "We wish to express our sincerest appreciation to the management of Second Coming Gas Company for their good gesture.
We wish to inform them and members of the public of a new dispensing plan that will help to avert any breakdown of law and order as well as implement the operating guidelines aimed at preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our state," the press reads.
