Abia State to Commence Fumigation Of Public Areas In The State.





In statement issued to newsmen by Barr. Chris Ezem Secretary to Abia State Government.


Government plans to commence fumigation of our public areas including, churches, schools, offices, markets, public buildings etc. in Abia State between Monday and Tuesday respectively.



Furthermore, the Abia State government has extended the Lockdown grace till Friday,  17th April 2020.





"The lockdown grace (6am Friday - 2pm Sunday, April 12, 2020) granted by Abia State Government to Abians and residents alike ends at 2pm today.



"Consequently, the 7-day lockdown extension which took effect on Wednesday 8th day of April, 2020 before the lockdown grace continues from 2pm Sunday, 12th April to end on Friday, 17th April, 2020.





"Accordingly, the general public are hereby warned to stay at home because of the health hazards associated with this exercise and in continued compliance to the lockdown.



"Security operatives and various Enforcement Teams are by this notice directed to ensure full compliance."
