Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has fired back at singer Portable over the Charles Okocha biting Portable boxing match controversy, flatly dismissing the allegation that he bit his opponent during their Lagos rematch as a physical impossibility and a deliberate lie.

The rebuttal came during a television appearance on TVC Entertainment, where Okocha pointed out that he was wearing a mouth guard throughout the entire bout — making any biting claim impossible on its face — before adding a sharp remark that he would sooner chew grass than place his teeth anywhere near Portable’s skin.

The rematch itself took place at the Lagos Balmoral Convention Centre and ended with Charles being declared the winner after Portable was disqualified.

Rather than fighting within the agreed format focused on takedowns, Portable threw punches and eventually walked out of the ring entirely, earning automatic disqualification and handing the victory to his opponent without dispute.

Following the loss, Portable took to the public domain to claim that Okocha had bitten him on the back and locked his neck during the contest, adding that as a star of his standing he had no business participating in such an event in the first place.

Charles addressed every part of the claim directly and without holding back. The mouth guard, he argued, served as undeniable physical proof that the Charles Okocha biting Portable boxing match allegation simply could not have happened as described.

He then delivered what quickly became the most talked-about line of his response — questioning publicly what Portable’s skin even looked like and making clear he had absolutely no interest in risking rabies to satisfy anyone’s narrative.

He urged Portable to acknowledge the result, accept the defeat, and stop constructing explanations for a loss that was clearly recorded and witnessed by all present.

The exchange has kept the boxing rematch and its aftermath circulating energetically on social media, with audiences drawn equally to the sporting result and the comedic aftermath.

No independent evidence supporting Portable’s biting claim has emerged, and Portable had not issued a formal televised response to Okocha’s rebuttal at the time of this report.

The Charles Okocha biting Portable boxing match saga has since taken on a life of its own online — generating more entertainment value in defeat than most sports events manage in victory.
