The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially presented the Ademola Adeleke INEC certificate of return following his victory in the Osun State governorship election, formally confirming his re-election for a second term in office.
Adeleke received the official documentation at the INEC state headquarters in Osogbo alongside his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi.
The presentation follows the declaration of the Accord candidate as winner of the August 15 governorship election after securing the highest number of votes in the contested poll.
According to the INEC Returning Officer, Joshua Ogunwole, Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat his primary challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who recorded 444,815 votes. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) finished in third place with 17,180 votes.
With the official presentation of the Ademola Adeleke INEC certificate of return now concluded, the governor and his administration prepare to continue their governance agenda across Osun State for another four-year mandate.
