ABSU Suspends Professor Nnamdi Nwaeze Over Inflammatory Social Media Posts

The management of Abia State University, Uturu, has announced that ABSU suspends Professor Nnamdi Nwaeze of the Department of Economics following growing concerns over inflammatory comments posted across various social media platforms.

According to an official press statement released by the Deputy Registrar and Public Relations Officer, Chijioke Nwogu, the disciplinary decision was taken after multiple digital posts attributed to the academic were evaluated as inimical to the strategic interests of the university and uncomplimentary toward the Visitor to the University.

In response to the incident, executive management has constituted a formal Investigative Panel to look into the matter and evaluate the nature of the online publications. 

The institution confirmed that as ABSU suspends Professor Nnamdi Nwaeze, the disciplinary action takes immediate effect pending the completion and outcome of the panel's official inquiry.
