The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has officially dismissed circulating rumors alleging a Femi Gbajabiamila ICPC arrest in connection with the ongoing probe into the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) scandal.
Clarifying the situation in an official statement released on Tuesday, the anti-graft agency confirmed that President Bola Tinubu's Chief of Staff was never detained or placed under custody at any stage.
Commission spokesperson Demola Bakare emphasized that Gbajabiamila voluntarily visited the ICPC headquarters in Abuja strictly to honour a formal invitation from investigators, provided answers to relevant questions, and departed freely upon concluding the session.
