Aba Power has informed its customers that a new N50 charge will be introduced for every funding transaction made through the Nkeanyi wallet platform beginning July 1, 2026.

The announcement was made in a customer notice issued by the company, explaining that the charge is not being imposed by Aba Power or the Nkeanyi team but by its payment switch operator, Hydrogen Bank.

According to the notice, the N50 fee will only apply when customers fund their Nkeanyi wallets and will be deducted automatically at the point of transaction.

The company emphasized that the charge is external and beyond its direct control, seeking customers' understanding as the new policy takes effect.

"Please be informed that, effective July 1, 2026, a N50 charge will apply to every Nkeanyi wallet funding transaction," the statement read.

Aba Power further clarified that all wallet funding transactions processed through the platform will attract the fixed charge regardless of the amount being funded.

The electricity distribution company reassured customers of its commitment to providing quality service while maintaining transparency regarding operational changes that may affect users.

Customers have been advised to take note of the new charge when planning future wallet funding transactions.

The management of Aba Power expressed appreciation for customers' continued support and patronage, while encouraging users to stay informed about updates concerning the Nkeanyi platform and related payment services.

The new charge is expected to take effect nationwide from July 1, 2026.
