The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the JAMB 2026 UTME change of institution and course process for candidates across Nigeria, allowing applicants to modify their choices through accredited CBT centres.
This update is important for all candidates who wish to adjust their academic preferences after the release of their UTME results.
According to the board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the process is now officially open and candidates are advised to visit any approved CBT centre to carry out the necessary changes.
The JAMB 2026 UTME change of institution and course exercise is designed to ensure that candidates have the opportunity to align their choices with their performance and available admission requirements.
The board further clarified that candidates must use only accredited CBT centres for the modification process to avoid errors or fraudulent activities. This step reinforces the credibility of the JAMB 2026 UTME change of institution and course procedure and ensures a smooth and secure experience for all applicants.
In addition to the ongoing changes, JAMB also announced that the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Candidates are expected to visit accredited centres to print their result slips and access other related services, as only SMS result checking had been available earlier.
The development comes weeks after the board released the 2026 UTME results, while temporarily delaying the official result slip printing.
