Celebrity socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to viral reports claiming he lost the APC House of Representatives primaries in Imo State.
Social media platforms were flooded with claims that Cubana Chief Priest was defeated during the All Progressives Congress primaries for the Orlu East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The reports generated massive reactions online, with many users trooping to his comment section to mock him. However, reacting through a post shared on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest dismissed the reports and insisted that he never participated in the APC primaries.
According to him, he was informed on the morning of the primaries that it was not the turn of his local government area to produce a candidate for the election. He stated that after receiving the information, he immediately left Imo State for Lagos.
The nightlife entrepreneur further challenged anyone to prove that he was present at the venue where the APC primaries were held, maintaining that he had no involvement in the process.
Cubana Chief Priest had earlier declared his political ambition to contest for the House of Representatives seat, a move that sparked conversations across social media and among political observers.
Despite the controversy surrounding the APC primaries, the socialite’s latest statement appears aimed at clearing the air and correcting widespread reports about his alleged defeat.
