The celebrity barman, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, revealed his political ambition in a video shared on Instagram, stating that he plans to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
In the post, Okechukwu said he had visited the APC state secretariat to congratulate newly elected party officials while also formally notifying them of his aspiration.
He appealed for their support, describing his ambition as a desire to serve his people.
“I’ll be running for the office of the Federal House of Representatives.
So, all I’m asking is for your blessings,” he said in the video.
He further emphasised the need for unity within the party, urging members to work together as one family to achieve common political goals ahead of the elections.
Okechukwu’s entry into politics comes amid growing involvement in political activities, particularly through his role in the “City Boy Movement,” a support group aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
While his announcement has generated mixed reactions online, it reflects a broader trend of Nigerian entertainers and influencers transitioning into active politics as the 2027 elections approach.
