Tinubu appoints ambassadors to various countries and international missions after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu unveiled a full list of 65 ambassadors, including 31 non-career and 34 career diplomats, assigned to represent Nigeria across the world and at the United Nations.
President Bola Tinubu has approved the deployment of 65 Nigerian ambassadors to different countries and diplomatic missions worldwide.
Details of the appointments were revealed in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The announcement confirmed that 31 of the ambassadors are non-career political appointees, while 34 are professional career diplomats from the foreign service.
Among the notable names in the list are former presidential spokesperson Reno Omokri, who was posted to Mexico, and former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, who will serve as Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany.
The development marks a major step in strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic representation globally as the Tinubu appoints ambassadors policy aims to reinforce international partnerships.
