The French Government has announced its decision to return $150 million of the late General Sani Abacha's loot to Nigeria.
This decision comes after ongoing efforts to recover funds stolen by the former Nigerian military leader.
France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, made this announcement during her visit to Nigeria.
The stolen funds will be returned in the form of grants, and discussions will be held with the Nigerian government to determine how the money will be invested in development projects to benefit the Nigerian population.
Additionally, France has been actively investing in Nigeria, with over €10 billion invested in the past ten years, involving more than 100 French companies creating jobs and supporting various projects across the country.
