In a thrilling non-title bout in Saudi Arabia, Tyson Fury narrowly escaped with a split-decision victory against Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion.

Despite being knocked down in the third round, Fury claimed victory with scores of 96-93 and 95-94 on two judges' cards, while the third judge scored it 95-94 in favor of Ngannou.

Fury, the WBC champion and a heavyweight legend, remained unbeaten as a professional, while Ngannou, in his first professional boxing match, pushed Fury to the limit. Unfortunately, Fury's title couldn't be on the line due to Ngannou's lack of boxing experience.

The fight took an unexpected turn when Ngannou landed a powerful left hook in the third round, leaving Fury in a vulnerable position. Ngannou displayed impressive control in the following rounds, but Fury ultimately secured a controversial victory.

Fury acknowledged the difficulty of the fight, praising Ngannou's strength and boxing skills. Ngannou, despite the contentious decision, remained gracious in defeat, vowing to return stronger.

The bout's story began with Fury's early dominance, but Ngannou's left hook in the third round shifted the momentum. Fury struggled as Ngannou kept coming back with counter-punches. Fury needed to increase his pace, but he couldn't find a way through Ngannou's defense.

Ngannou expressed his desire for a rematch, confident in his boxing future, while Fury turned his attention to an undisputed heavyweight championship clash with Oleksandr Usyk.

Both fighters exchanged words about their future bout, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting showdown in the heavyweight division.
