Tragedy Strikes as NYSC Member Grace Chalya Silas Brutally Murdered During Morning Jog

In a tragic incident in Kaduna State, Grace Chalya Silas, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and a graduate of the University of Jos, was brutally murdered while out jogging on October 18, 2023. 

The details of the attack remain unclear, but it is suspected to be the work of unidentified assailants, possibly armed robbers. 

This shocking event has left her friends and former course mates in mourning. Comfort Elisha expressed the sorrow felt within the community, saying, "We haven't finished mourning Kekefas Emmanuel, and now it's Chalya, brutally killed in Kaduna during her morning jog while serving her fatherland. May your killers know no peace, Chalya. This is too much to bear."

Another friend pondered the uncertainties of life, highlighting the tragedy of being taken away while pursuing a morning jog. 

They lamented the loss and the deep wound Chalya's departure had left, vowing that those responsible for her death would not find peace. It's a heartbreaking goodbye, but they wished for Chalya to rest in peace with the Lord.
