The ban, imposed in October the previous year, was lifted following negotiations between Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and UAE leader Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both leaders met in Abu Dhabi, where they finalized a historic agreement, resulting in the immediate end of the visa ban for Nigerians.
Additionally, the agreement facilitates the resumption of flights between both countries by Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines. This positive step comes after a hiatus in flights due to revenue issues, signaling improved relations between the nations.
