Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, according to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, is in command of the country.
On Sunday, he announced this while he was leaving Abuja for a medical checkup in London.
It could not be established at the time of reporting this article whether Buhari had sent a letter to the National Assembly handing over power to Osinbajo till his return to the country.
"Well, I cannot pretend to be performing the task alone," he remarked when asked if his absence will have an impact on governmental services. The government is depicted in its entirety. Vice President Biden is present.
"Constitutionally, when I’m away, he’s in charge. Then, we have the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and then the Chief of Staff, so, there’s no problem."
