A 20-year-old man has been arrested by Sao Paulo state police for allegedly stealing over 220,000 reais (around 37,000 euros) from Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar's bank account.
According to the authorities, the young man, who worked as an administrative assistant for a company and whose identity was not released, is a member of a criminal gang that specializes in financial fraud.
Special agents of the Regional Department of Criminal Investigations, who were probing fraud against various bank clients, including Neymar, detained the guy who exploited an online quick bank transfer technology known as PIX in Brazil.
