Femi Olugbemi, Kolawole's principal press secretary, said in a statement that she died early Sunday in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Olugbemi stated that funeral plans would be publicized later.
Her husband, children, siblings, and her elderly mother survive her.
Kolawole was re-elected speaker of the seventh assembly in July 2019. He was the sixth assembly's speaker.
