Ogidan Yussuf, a 40-year-old logger, was arrested for reportedly cutting his employer, Oluwo Shakiru's genital organ and attacking his wife over equipment theft.
The suspect, who was apprehended by officers of the Ogun State security network codenamed Amotekun, was a resident of Wuraola Street, Epe, in Ijebu East LGA and purportedly a saw machine operator for the victim.
The event happened two months after Yusuf had been avoiding his supervisor over the loss of the equipment, according to David Akinremi, the state commander of Amotekun.
"The victim's insistence on getting his saw back, combined with the suspect's assault on the victim's wife, resulted in a physical fight," he said.
"The suspects allegedly grabbed the victim's genital organ and almost yanked it off before fleeing the scene before being apprehended by our operatives."
"The victim was brought to Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital and is responding to treatment, while the suspect who confessed to the heinous conduct has been handed over to the police for prosecution," the statement said.
