The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, a well-known socialite and businessman (EFCC).
The Anambra native was apprehended on Monday and taken to the EFCC's headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, read here.
The socialite is suspected of being a witness in a case involving alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
According to the source, the socialite was invited two weeks ago but only arrived yesterday, November 1st.
"Obi Cubana was not detained by us." We invited him to our office two weeks ago, but he didn't show up until yesterday around 11 a.m. in our Wuse Zone 6 Abuja office."
