Professor Charles Soludo, the Governor-elect of Anambra State, has received his certificate of return.
The certificate was presented to Soludo and the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday.
The certificate was presented to Soludo and Ibezim by Nkwachukwu Orji, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Anambra State. Orji, speaking during the presentation, urged Soludo to maintain good governance.
Soludo had said that his election as governor was a victory for the people of Anambra, as well as a divine journey whose time had come.
"I have persevered and remained focused on the mission for the past 12 years." I've served the world and Nigeria, and now it's time for me to serve my own country.
"I owe my gratitude to God, stakeholders, and, most importantly, the people of Anambra State. I'm humbled by this mandate, which, despite its flaws, is overwhelming."
