45th US President, Donald Trump intends to launch 'TRUTH Social,' a new social media platform.
The Trump Media and Technology Group, a newly formed company that is planning a merger with the Digital World Acquisition Corporation, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
Trump, the group's Chairman, stated in a statement, "I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech."
The group's mission, according to the statement, is "to create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the 'Big Tech' companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America."
