A section of the office was badly damaged before a combined effort by security agents from the Nigerian police, DSS, Army and NSCDC quenched the inferno.
Reacting to the development, the electoral body issued a statement signed by its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye revealing that the incident is being investigated.
It was gathered that the criminals carried out the dastard act early on Sunday morning.
"Fortunately, all movable election material had been evacuated following recent attacks on our offices in the State", INEC said.
