The US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard, stated that the US is willing to work with Nigeria to identify the sponsors of Boko Haram and extremism in the country.
During a press conference in Abuja on Monday, August 30, she stated that the US was eager to work with Nigeria to identify Boko Haram's sponsors.
She went on to say that she'd had at least three conversations about it in the last two months, but she wouldn't go into specifics.
She stated: "That is something we are eager to collaborate with Nigeria on. I've had at least three conversations about this in the last two months. I won't go into specifics."
I've heard a lot of people make the Afghanistan analogy, but it doesn't work.

She stated that the United States remained committed to assisting Nigeria in combating insecurity.
Leonard went on to say that the US government was also committed to assisting the government's democracy and economic programs through the embassy.
