Lawmakers making millions are more immoral than BBN - Jude Chukwuka

 

Jude Chukwuka, an actor, believes that Nigerian Senators and members of the House of Representatives who earn a lot of money are more immoral than Big Brother Naija housemates.

"It is entertainment," Chukwuka stated in response to those demanding for the show to be banned on moral grounds. As long as it stays within the bounds of the law, entertainment and morality do not go hand in hand.

Is that the only show that's immoral, if you say it's immoral? Which is immoral when BBN or our honorable members (legislators) earn millions while the government claims it cannot afford to pay the minimum wage.

Those looking for ‘moral' programs know where to look. It is not required that anyone watch BBN. The number of votes cast during the most recent episode of the show was incredible, indicating that some people are enjoying it.

Why should you deprive people of their pleasure because you aren't having fun? What guarantee do those clamoring for its prohibition have that I will appreciate whatever they do? We live in a hypocritical country.

Those who are publicly opposing it may actually be admiring it.” Chukwuka, who is always happy and full of energy, also stated that he wanted individuals in his peer group to understand that just because they are older does not mean they have nothing to contribute.

I had a really active youth life, he remarked. I want adolescents to understand that being young gives them the opportunity to choose the life they desire, so they don't have to live like children when they grow up.

"I also want to reassure my peers who are approaching retirement age that they still have a lot to give. Retirement is not the end, but rather the start of a new chapter in one's life.

"I always encourage elderly people to talk to children, play with them, and learn about their problems before attempting to fix them without disparaging or disclosing their source of information."
