Buhari Violates New Police Act, by Extending IGP Adamu’s Tenure For 3 months on Thursday 4, 02 2021.

The president said the decision to extend the IGP’s tenure for another three months was to give time for proper selection of the new helmsman.

However, this is contrary to the provisions of the Police Act 2020, which in Section 7 (6) fixes a single term of four years without an option of extension of tenure for the holder of the office of the Inspector-General of Police.

Which means, A person appointed to the office of the Inspector-General of Police shall hold office for four years.

Meanwhile, Section 18 (8) of the Act signed by the President on September 15, 2020, which also read, "Every police officer shall, on recruitment or appointment, serve in the police force for 35 years or until he attains the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier.

Now the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Adamu was spotted yesterday without A NOSEMASK while decorating newly promoted police officers!

He is the Chief law enforcement officer, why violate the laws made by him & his principal?

Recall that, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC yesterday confirmed 1,340 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, bringing the total number of recorded infection in the country to 136,030.

The health agency also announced 14 fresh fatalities as total deaths so far stand at 110,449, while about 110,449 have been discharged.

Say something Nice to President Buhari and the IGP...
