City Cruise past hosts, As Mendy puts Madrid ahead of 10 Men Atalanta

- Manchester City on the verge of quarter-finals after Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus scoring at Borussia Monchengladbach. 

- Ferland Mendy's late finish put Madrid in advantage as injury-hit LaLiga champions ahead of the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu on March 16.

Borussia Monchengladbach 0-2 Manchester City 

Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus put  Manchester City on one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals with an assured 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bernardo Silva opens scoring in 29th minutes, with the help of Joao Cancelo to put City ahead of the match.

Another perfect cross from Cancelo, and header from Bernardo Silva, and this time he knocks it back across goal from beyond the far post and Jesus gets a toe to it in 65 Mins.

Atalanta 0-1 Real Madrid 

Ferland Mendy scored his first European goal four minutes from time as Real Madrid beat 10-man Atalanta 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie.

Despite Remo Freuler's red card for a professional foul on Mendy after 17 minutes, Atalanta tried their possible to turn things around, but Zidane despite the win said his side did not played as expected.
